Bird’s Brewery, Bromsgrove
Our 6 barrel micro-brewery commenced operations in July 2009 from premises situated in Old Burcot Lane,
Bromsgrove.
Head brewer, Ian Hughes, formerly Landlord of the Hop Pole Inn and latterly The Ladybird Inn, both in
Bromsgrove, previously operated his own micro-brewery, Red Cross Brewery, from outbuildings at his home.
The brewery's first two ales have been named 'Ashborough Pale' and 'Ashborough Gold', or A.P and A.G..
for short, and draw their names from the fact that the brewery is sited on land belonging to Ashborough
Farm, which was itself mentioned in the Domesday Book.
